Aaron Ramsey isn’t giving up on the Premier League title yet despite the Gunners 13 points off the pace.
Arsenal currently sit in fourth position, 13 points behind league leaders Chelsea, although we have played a game less due to Sothampton’s involvement in the EFL cup final last weekend.
We could cut short the gap between our current position and Antonio Conte’s men should we take all three points when we take on the Saints on a latter date and Ramsey believes we can eventually catch the league leaders.
Speaking to Talk Sport (via The Daily Cannon), Ramsey said: “There’s still a lot of football to be played.
“Stranger things have happened in football before.
“Chelsea have quite a gap at the moment but it only takes a couple of games and everybody is right back in it again.
“We have to get back to winning ways, compete again and go on a bit of a run.”
Indeed stranger things have happened before and no one can be very certain that the Blues won’t lose form. However, we are in a difficult position because we won’t only need Chelsea to drop points but we will also need the others who are a few points ahead of us to also falter.
Personally, I think title talk is a bit far-off for now, we just have to concentrate on ourselves and get back to winning ways and see where we are later. We can take inspiration from Chelsea who put together a run of 13 consecutive wins after we spanked them 3-0 in September and it was their fine run that catapulted them to top of the league table.
