Wenger believes all his players would get game time if the team remains in all competitions, making it easy for him to keep everyone happy.
The manager said after the win against Reading: “Look, if we stay in all the competitions, it’s not too difficult [to balance minutes]. And that’s a positive of qualifying tonight.
“We have always targets and the players who, for example, we have three top class goalkeepers, because you see Emi Martinez as well.
“But as long as we are in this competition, he obviously gets his game so they have a focus, something to focus on.”
It is very important to keep everyone inside the dressing room happy and the only way to do that is to make everyone involved in the team’s progress. There is no player that would be unhappy when he is playing and an healthy environment is crucial for any team’s chances of winning titles.
As Wenger alluded to, the whole squad has been involved at some point already this season to the extent third choice goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has had some valuable minutes under his belt.
