The transfer window is gradually coming to an end and it is of popular belief that Arsenal are done with its business this summer. However, many could be surprised as Wenger is still prepared to spend big before the transfer window closes.
The Gunners recently completed the signing of Spain striker Lucas Perez and Germany defender Shkodran Mustafi for a combined fee of £52m having spent the whole summer trying to sign a striker and a centre back.
According to Italian Journalist Emanuele Giulianelli via Sport Review, Arsene Wenger could still sign a top player before the transfer window closes in a few hours.
The Journalist is widely regarded as one of the most credible journalists around and he has now revealed via his twitter account that Wenger would spend big today should the right player become available.
“Arsenal: if a player becomes available there are funds available for a last minute purchase.”
Wenger has always claimed the club have more than enough money to spend in the transfer market but would only do so should the right players be available and having spent more than £100m on new signings already, the boss could spend more if a top player becomes available.
