Walsall manager Dean Smith has confirmed that the club could let their youngster Rico Henry leave when the transfer window opens in January.
Premier league clubs are interested in the left back and have been following his progress for quite sometime.
It is understood that Manchester United are considering making a move for the defender and scouts from the Old Trafford club watched Henry against Swidon town on Tuesday night.
United are in search for a left back after Luke Shaw broke his legs earlier in the season and Louis Van Gaal is keen to bring in cover for the injured defender.
Henry’s current manager Smith told the Express & Star:
“Every player has a price don’t they? We all know that. But it would take a very big offer and I’m not sure he’d want to go, at the moment, as well.
“Despite all the clubs linked, nobody has approached the football club.
“He wants to keep developing and playing in first-team football games.
“He’s got to keep progressing and developing and doing what he’s doing.”
“It’s going to take a hell of a lot of money to take Rico away from this football club.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City and Aston Villa are also keen on the 18 year old.
