Nigeria’s under 17 youngster Kelechi Nwankali is in talks with Arsenal over a potential move to the Emirates, according to his agent.
The midfielder recently claimed he’d love to move to the Emirates as they play the best football in the world:
‘I would love to play for Arsenal,’ he told the Nigerian press.
‘They are the Premier League club I will like to play for because they play the best football in the world.’
However his agent, Klay Ekeocha has revealed that he is in talks with Arsenal of a move to the Emirates stadium.
‘We have been in touch with Arsenal,’ explained Klay Ekeocha.
‘There has been no feedback [or bid] as yet though.’
The midfielder was captain of the Nigeria U17 team that won the U17 world cup last month. Nwakali was the tournament’s most Valuable player.
The midfielder has been linked with a number of Premier league clubs with Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City credited with an interest in the 16 year old, the player reportedly had a trial and the Etihad stadium having impressed in the under 17 world cup.
