Francis Coquelin was substituted just 14th minutes in the first hold of last weekend’s game and was replaced by Mikel Arteta who was also forced off the field after suffering a knock.
Arsene Wenger Believes the injury suffered by Coquelin is more severe than that of Mikel Arteta’s own but he is unsure on the extent of either until the scan result comes out.
“We have two more injuries,” Wenger said after a disappointing afternoon. “One is a muscle problem for Arteta and the other one is a knee problem and I don’t know how serious that is but we will know certainly tomorrow, for Coquelin.
“Arteta is a calf,” Wenger added. Arsenal fans would likely have a different word for what exactly Arteta is.
Arsene Wenger wants to strengthen his defensive midfield following the long-term injury sustained by Francis Coquelin, the Metro confirmed Coquelin will be out for at least for the next three months.
Bender, 26, has been at the Bundesliga club Bayern Leverkusen for six years and Wenger is a long-term admirer.
