Celta Vigo forward Nolito has hinted that he could be about to complete a transfer to Arsenal after liking a post linking him to the Gunners on Instagram.
The Spaniard has been in fine form this season, scoring seven goals and assisting on four other occasions.
That form has seen him linked with Arsenal and Barcelona, with Spanish newspaper AS claiming on Wednesday that the Gunners were ready to win the race for the 29 years old by paying his release clause and tripling his wages.
Barcelona is also interested in Nolito and they are not ruling out a move for the player. The Spanish Champions technical director Robert Fernandez was coy on a deal for Nolito. The 29 years old is a former Barcelona player, spending three years at the Camp Nou from 2008-2011 and the European Champions are looking to bring him back to Barcelona.
Arsenal has similar players in the mode of Nolito; Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlin can all play in the same position as Nolito with Santi Carzola too another similar player. The difference is Nolito is not just creative, but adds goals to his game; something Carzola, Chamberlin and Ozil don’t do too frequently.
