Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is planning a major title push this season and the boss is aware of the need to bring in only the best to achieve his target.
According to Daily Mirror, they claim Arsenal and Bayern Munich are reportedly keeping tabs on Barcelona’s B captain Alex Grimaldo who is considering a transfer away from the club.
The report also claims the Gunners are sitting in pole position to sign him as he is not willing to sign a new contract with Barca.
If this deal should pull through, he will follow suit the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Hector Bellerin who also moved from the prestigious La Masia academy.
Grimaldo currently plays left-back for Barcelona’s B team and is regarded as one of the most talented young defenders in Europe.
