On loan Arsenal star Wojciech Szczesny insists he will return to the Emirates stadium next season and fight for his place in Wenger’s side.
The Poland international was ousted from Arsenal starting XI midway into last season by David Ospina after series of horrendous mistakes.
The arrival of Petr Cech at Arsenal in the summer meant that Szczesny would be pushed further below the pecking order at Arsenal, and a loan spell to Italian giants Roma was a viable option for the 25-year-old to get more action in-between the sticks.
Szczesny has largely impressed for Roma, but speaking to Sky Italia, he says he still dreams of returning to Arsenal and playing.
‘I saw Arsenal as my whole life and I do not hide that is still my dream,’ he confessed.
‘For me it is a family, I owe so much to those people that if I were to be given a chance I would play for them again.
‘With Wenger there is no love or hate – he’s always been fair with me.
‘Nine months is a long time in football, things can change from week to week.’
