Arsenal’s hope of signing Paris Saint Germain star forward Ezequiel Lavezzi has been dented with news that he has agreed to join Serie A giants Inter Milan.

This report is according to popular French media outlet Le Parisien per the Daily Star, who claims Argentine forward Lavezzi has agreed to join Inter despite several interests from top Premier League clubs.

Arsenal are in the market this summer to bolster their attacking options and Lavezzi has been rumoured to be one of the stars on Arsene Wenger’s transfer wish-list along with club teammate Edinson Cavani.

Just as Cavani, Lavezzi has found life difficult under PSG boss Laurent Blanc and is said to be keen on a move away from the Parc des Princess this summer in search of more play time elsewhere.

This has seen the 30-year-old star who would be out of contract next summer and available for just £8million linked to Arsenal,Tottenham, West Ham and Manchester United.

But Inter appear to have won the race for his signature despite reports by La Gazzetta dello Sport that United had held talks with his agent over a move.
