Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers opted to go with an unchanged side in the 1-0 victory over Bournemouth, with new signing Roberto Firmino seeing action from the bench once again.
Rodgers’ main worry going into the Arsenal clash on Monday evening surrounds the fitness of captain Jordan Henderson who came off against the Cherries with a foot problem.
Scans have confirmed that Henderson hadn’t suffered a fracture, however the midfielder remains doubtful. Should Henderson miss out, Rodgers seems likely to recall Emre Can to the starting XI alongside James Milner.
Firmino will hope to make his first start for the Reds in attack, and could displace either Adam Lallana or Jordan Ibe in the wide positions.
Joe Gomez will hope to continue at left-back at the Emirates, though Alberto Moreno will be pushing for a start following his cameo appearance against Bournemouth.
Elsewhere, Dejan Lovren and Martin Skrtel are set to continue their partnership in central defence, with Mamadou Sakho and Kolo Toure overlooked again.
Jon Flanagan and Joe Allen remain on the treatment table, along with Daniel Sturridge, though the forward is expected to return to action next month.
