Joel Campbell’s future looks more and more certain to be away from the Emirates with a number of Serie A clubs reportedly after the signature of the 23-year-old forward.
The Costa Rican international is the subject of reported interests from Palermo and most recently Lazio, according to Sport Witness.
The winger, who can also operate as a striker, hasn’t really had his chance at Arsenal; with the 23-year-old star being shipped out on various loan spells to France, Spain and Greece, with his most recent spell at Villarreal.
Though Wenger recently told Arsenal’s official website that he would like to keep the striker at the Emirates this season, Campbell is likely to fancy his chances of regular football elsewhere, with Oxlade Chamberlain, Walcott and Sanchez ahead of him on the pecking order.
Lazio currently lead the race to sign the pacy forward, with injuries to Miroslav Klose, and Djordjevic leaving them short of attacking options, with a second leg Champions League qualifier in the horizon.
He is valued at £8million, and Lazio are reportedly negotiating for a loan deal with an option to buy, but Arsenal are said to be interested in a permanent deal only.
