The club made this announcement today via the club’s official website, which will see young striker Akpom spend the 2015/2016 season with the Championship side.
The 19-year-old U20 England international joined Arsenal at the age of six, and has gradually found his way up the Arsenal system.
Akpom has made nine appearances for Arsenal since making his first team debut as a substitute in a win against Sunderland in September 2013, and he has also had previous loan spells with Brentford, Coventry City and Nottingham Forest.
The young striker made his mark when he bagged a hat-trick for Arsenal against a Singapore Select XI in the Barclays Asia Trophy last month.
And now, Akpom will join fellow Arsenal academy graduate Isaac Hayden – who equally completed a loan switch to the Tigers recently.
