The Gunners who are on the lookout for top quality signings in the striking position this summer have now turned their attention once again to the Borussia Dortmund attacker.
Speculations that the 26-year-old star would leave Germany are ever increasing, with reports from SportBild per Metro saying Arsenal are willing to pay a transfer record fee of £48million for the German international.
Reus who is described by German legend Hamman as “The best player Germany has” has been a long time target for Wenger with several reports linking him to Arsenal during his time at Borussia Monchengladbach.
Earlier this summer, Arsenal where reportedly keen on signing Reus as a replacement for Theo Walcott who was at that time heavily linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium.
Reus can play anywhere across the three forward positions and is known for his direct dribbling and finishing ability with both legs as well as his amazing free-kick ability.
Should this move materialise, Reus will certainly be a huge addition to Arsene Wenger’s side, and with a return of 53 goals in 111 appearances for Dortmund, he would be a huge goal scoring asset.
