The 33-year-old veteran goalkeeper who has retired from international duty with Italy is said to be a potential replacement for Wojciech Szczesny according to respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio
The goalkeeper has done little to dampen the speculation with his statement about signing a confidentiality agreement with Arsenal.
‘Arsenal? I signed a confidentiality agreement, so I cannot say anything,’ he revealed.
‘I’m still young for a goalie, I’m 33 years old and who knows in the future.’
He also stated he would like a move to Roma if the Emirates move doesn’t materialize
With Szczesny loaned out to Roma and Ospina being linked to Everton, it looks likely that a move for the World Cup winner will materialize.
New summer signing Petr Cech is expected to be the number one man between the sticks for Arsene Wenger’s side this new season, and Amelia would represent a decent backup to Cech.
Seriously??
Are you guys bored. Really do you think for half a second we are going to sign another 33 yr old keeper. almost losing the will to read.
