The club made the announcement on their official website recently, and the young midfielder will spend the first half of the new season at Barnsley to gain more first team experience.
The “technically-gifted” 17-year-old midfielder who has been tipped for a big future at Arsenal is the latest youngster to be sent out on loan by Arsenal ahead of the new season.
Barnsley manager Lee Johnson fended off competition from other clubs to secure the loan transfer of Crowley.
The Reds Head Coach told Barnsley’s official website. “I’m delighted to welcome Dan on board. He is an exceptional and exciting talent who is very highly thought of at Arsenal and we are extremely pleased that we have been entrusted with his further development.
“Dan has genuine, top-level skill and quality. I am delighted Arsenal have chosen Barnsley to aid the development of this exceptional talent, as well as aiding us in our pursuit of promotion.”
