Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Arsene Wenger’s long term target Benzema this summer.
News broke recently of a massive Arsenal bid gone in for the 27-year-old forward with a response from Madrid awaited.
Those reports have now been confirmed, with Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri claiming the Gunners have stepped up their pursuit of the France international by submitting an offer of €45million.
Despite several reports of Benzema’s place in central forward being threatened by new boss Madrid Rafael Benitez who plans to utilise Cristiano Ronaldo as a centre forward next season, Palmeri however added that the Spanish giants have now seized talks with Arsenal over a deal to sell Benzema.
It’s all true the Arsenal bid for Benzema: 45m€. Real Madrid was initially open to talk, but now they have stopped everything
