Arsenal have been handed a massive boost in their pursuit of key summer target Mario Gotze.
According to the Daily Star, Arsenal are on red alert to swoop in for Bayern Munich attacking ace Mario Gotze; after his agent slammed the Bundesliga champions for their ill-treatment of his client.
Arsene Wenger’s interest in Gotze has been well documented, with the Arsenal boss reportedly failing to land the player’s signature, before the German star joined Bayern Munich.
The 22-year-old World Cup hero has struggled to nail a spot in Pep Guardiola’s side over the last two seasons, with reports suggesting a move away from Munich could be on the cards for the Germany international this summer.
And now, Gotze’s agent Volker Struth has done little to cool talks of his client’s rumoured exit plans, after he slammed Bayern and their manager Pep Guardiola for poor treatment of Gotze, saying “he needs more support”.
Gotze who has also been linked to Manchester United this summer, scored 15 goals in 46 appearances for Bayern last season, and would represent a good steal should either of Manchester United or Arsenal manage to get him from the Grasp of Guardiola.
It is left to be seen if Wenger would go all out for the attacker who has been valued at £49.6m by Bayern in the past.
