Following the series of Injuries that has plagued Arsene Wenger’s side in recent times, Arsenal are reportedly on the lookout for top quality players ahead of next season.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has met with Corinthians director of football to discuss a potential transfer deal for Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato.
Arsenal are likely to be active in the January transfer after getting caught in players injury crisis. Several of the first team regulars are out injured; Theo Walcott, Alex-Oxlade Chamberlin, Danny Welbeck, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky and Francis Coquelin on the treatment table.
Pato is a very potent and technically gifted attacker, he showed his qualities while at AC Milan, but consistent injuries meant he had to leave Serie A for his home land. Now 26 years of age, the Brazilian is approaching his peak period and would be a good addition to any team that gets to sign him
With Arsenal, Pato would simply flourish, as players like Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and co. would create enough chances for the striker to tuck away. The player himself has stated his desire to return to Europe from Corinthians.
Pato joined Brazilian side Corinthians from AC Milan for £12.18 Million and scored with his first touch, the Brazilian is quick, agile and creative with excellent technical ability. He was considered as one of the World’s most promising young footballing stars in his youth.
