The much anticipated Premier League Monday night heavy weight clash between Arsenal and old rivals Liverpool ended in a goalless draw.
The Gunners went into the game without first choice centre-backs Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny and so it was expected that the Gunners defence would show a tad bit of sloppiness.
Thankfully, we had a Petr Cech to save us from the horrendous and miss-timed passes of Calum Chambers, and boy, did he live up to his status as one of the best goalies in the Premier League.
Excluding Cech, the whole Arsenal team started the game badly, with series of sloppy plays and a high level of disorganisation.
Here are our ratings:
Theo replaced Giroud, but did very little to justify if he would have had a better performance than Olivier had he been given the nod from the first half.
Honestly, I simply cannot understand why Wenger would bring him in so late in the game. Alex looked so much like he had a goal in him tonight – had he been brought in earlier.
