The youngster didn’t have much to do, but was solid when called upon. He made a good save to stop a Lacazette pile driver, and his distribution was top notch. Calm performance all round.
Not a bad performance from the Frenchman considering how long he’s been out with injury.

Playing alongside Coquelin, the Welshman showed why he is seen as one of the most complete midfielders in the league. He was quick to turn defense into attack, was involved in the buildup to Chamberlain’s goal, laid the pass for Iwobi’s goal and he also showed his attacking prowess with a well taken goal from an Ozil layoff.
An excellent game from the winger, he showed power, pace, technique and finishing, scoring a wonderful goal and was a constant threat to the Lyon defense time and time again
Ozil: 9 (MOTM)
A perfect No 10 performance from the German, he took up every position behind and beside Giroud in attack. He used his wonderful technique to devastating effect – laid off two excellent assists and a number of excellent set piece deliveries. He also capped a great performance with a well taken goal just before coming off.
An encouraging and hardworking performance from the young winger. He was willing to help out in defense and in attack, and scored a nice left footed goal with another ruled out for offside.
Olivier Giroud: 9
An excellent performance from the Frenchman, used his physical strength and good passing skills to continue counter attacks. Opened the scoring with a nice header before laying off an assist for Chamberlain.

Chuba Akpom: 7
Replaced Iwobi just after the hour mark, won the free-kick for the sixth goal.
